ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL MIRAN SAHIB HOSTS ALUMNI MEET

Miran Sahib: 06 Nov 2026
“Rekindling old bonds, revisiting cherished memories, and celebrating lifelong connections.”
Army Public School (APS) Miran Sahib hosted ‘Reminiscence–26’, its much-anticipated Alumni Meet, on 6 November 2026, bringing together former students and teachers for a memorable celebration of nostalgia, camaraderie and enduring bonds. The occasion provided a cherished opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, revisit the defining moments of their school years and celebrate the lifelong connections forged within its walls.
The event was graced by Mrs. Lavinder Kaur, former Principal, APS Miran Sahib, as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with a welcome address, followed by the digital inauguration of the ceremony, symbolising the harmonious confluence of tradition, innovation and the enduring spirit of the institution.
A particularly significant aspect of the occasion was the presence of former teachers, whose dedication, guidance and unwavering commitment had played an instrumental role in shaping generations of students. Their contribution extended far beyond the classroom, laying the foundation of knowledge, character and values that continue to guide their students through life. Inviting them was a heartfelt gesture of gratitude and recognition, providing an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with their mentors and for the school to honour those who have been integral to its legacy. Their presence added an emotional dimension to the celebrations, reaffirming the timeless bond between a teacher and a student.
The cultural proceedings featured several engaging presentations, including ‘Alumni Assembly – Echoes of the Past’, ‘Divine Rhythms, Modern Vibes’ and ‘Walk of Legacy’, which celebrated the journeys, achievements and individuality of the alumni. The programme also included an interactive segment, ‘Back to School, Back to Fun’, along with musical performances and an alumni sharing session.
The meet also provided a valuable platform for interaction between the alumni and present students. Through meaningful conversations and the sharing of experiences, former students offered insights into life beyond school, motivating the younger generation to pursue their aspirations with confidence while strengthening their sense of belonging to the APS family.
One of the most meaningful segments, ‘Sharing Stories That Inspire – An Alumni Sharing Session’, provided former students a platform to reflect upon their personal and professional journeys, achievements and life lessons. Their experiences served as a source of inspiration for the younger generation, reinforcing the values of perseverance, integrity and lifelong learning.
The presentation of tokens of gratitude added a meaningful touch to the occasion, acknowledging the contributions and continued association of those who have remained connected with the school’s legacy.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest emphasised the enduring significance of the relationship between an educational institution and its alumni. She highlighted the importance of remaining connected with one’s roots, upholding the values imparted by the alma mater and contributing meaningfully to society. Her address reinforced the belief that the true legacy of a school lies not merely in academic accomplishments but also in the character, confidence and sense of responsibility it instils in its students.
Principal Mrs. Ritu Sharma underscored the value of sustaining a strong and meaningful association with alumni, recognising them as an integral part of the institution’s continuing journey. The meet reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing relationships that extend beyond the classroom and fostering a vibrant community united by shared experiences, values and aspirations.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, former teachers, alumni, the school management and all those whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the event. A convivial lunch brought the celebrations to a close, offering everyone an opportunity to reconnect, exchange stories and create new memories.
Reminiscence–26 was more than an alumni gathering; it was a celebration of belonging, gratitude and continuity. It reaffirmed that while students may move forward to pursue diverse paths and aspirations, their connection with their alma mater remains an enduring part of their identity. The event concluded on a note of warmth and renewed pride, strengthening the timeless bond between Army Public School Miran Sahib and its alumni.
