Iran prepares farewell for Ayatollah Khamenei as Tehran warns of strike on Israel’s Dimona nuclear site
Meanwhile, Iran has issued a warning that it could target Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility if the United States and Israel attempt to topple the Islamic Republic’s leadership. The statement came after Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz warned that any new leader brought in by the Iranian regime could be considered a legitimate target.
Amid rising tensions, the Israel Defence Forces reported another ballistic missile attack launched by Iran, triggering air raid sirens across central Israel, the Jerusalem region and parts of the West Bank.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had launched the nineteenth wave of Operation True Promise 4, describing it as a combined missile and drone assault against Israeli and American positions in the region.
The IRGC claimed the attacks destroyed several advanced radar systems belonging to the US and Israel and managed to bypass missile defence systems to strike key sites, including areas near the Israeli defence ministry and Ben Gurion Airport.
The conflict, now entering its sixth day, continues to escalate with both sides exchanging strikes, raising fears that the confrontation in West Asia could expand into a prolonged regional war.
