FOURI Delegation Meets Hon’ble Education Minister
A delegation of the Forum of Unaided Recognised Institutions (FOURI), comprising its President, Dr Adit Gupta, and General Secretary, Dr Suminder Singh, met the Hon’ble Minister for School Education, Ms Shamim Firdous, and extended warm congratulations on her assuming charge of the School Education Department.
During the meeting, the delegation highlighted important issues concerning private schools in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the need to simplify and streamline the school recognition process to reduce administrative difficulties. The delegation also emphasised the need for the early reconstitution of the Fee Fixation Committee ahead of the forthcoming academic session, as several schools are facing difficulties regarding fee fixation and related approvals.
FOURI expressed its commitment to working collaboratively with the government to address these concerns and promote quality school education across the Union Territory
