BJP Misleading Jammu, Fuel Prices and Policy Failures Hitting Public: Satish Sharma

Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma on Tuesday accused the BJP of misleading the people of Jammu, alleging that the party has failed to deliver any tangible achievements since 2019 and is instead exploiting public emotions for political gains.
Speaking to reporters in Jammu, Sharma said the BJP is confusing the people as it is unable to clearly explain the outcomes of the abrogation of Article 370. He warned that the party’s approach could further alienate Jammu and harm the region in the long run.
The minister said that while many in Jammu initially welcomed the August 2019 decision, a large section is now disillusioned after experiencing the ground realities. He alleged that governance has become distant, with bureaucratic control increasing and elected representatives being sidelined.
Sharma also criticised the national situation, claiming that foreign policy has reached a state of paralysis and economic distress is growing. He pointed out that the dollar is at a record high and fuel prices have soared, putting additional pressure on ordinary citizens.
He stressed the need for people-centric governance, stating that the country requires leaders who work sincerely in the public interest rather than focusing solely on power.
