Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Sunday chaired a high-level review meeting in Jammu to assess the progress of key developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Amit Shah conducted a comprehensive review of major sectors, including road infrastructure, power, industry, tourism, and digital connectivity through 4G and optical fibre networks. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Union Home Secretary, and senior officials from the Central and Jammu and Kashmir governments.
The Union Home Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India remains committed to building a developed and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that sustained and focused efforts by the Modi government have resulted in unprecedented progress in development projects across the Union Territory.
Amit Shah emphasised the need to fully harness Jammu and Kashmir\u2019s hydropower potential and called for special attention to achieving 100 per cent saturation of government welfare schemes.
