{"id":29982,"date":"2021-12-25T16:18:27","date_gmt":"2021-12-25T10:48:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=29982"},"modified":"2021-12-25T16:18:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-25T10:48:27","slug":"father-son-duo-from-punjab-held-for-duping-man-in-reasi-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=29982","title":{"rendered":"Father-son duo from Punjab held for duping man in Reasi: Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A father-son duo from Punjab has been arrested for allegedly duping a person on the pretext of construction of a residential house in Reasi district, police said.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the news agency, police said that a written complaint was lodged in Police Station Reasi by one Ghulam Rasool of Reasi, claiming that Muhammad Sharif, son of Roshan Din, along with his son Muhammad Tariq has duped and taken a huge amount from the applicant on the pretext of construction of the residential house.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe accused was working as a contractor in the Reasi area, and after taking advance money of Rs 12 lakh from the applicant, the accused along with his family decamped and went underground,\u201d police said.<br \/>\nAfter a preliminary enquiry, it came to light that the accused had also purchased building material from some shopkeepers of Reasi and cheated them by selling it elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe used to operate similarly in looting money from the general public of Reasi. On this, a case under FIR number 240\/2021 under section 420 IPC registered in Police Station Reasi and investigations started.\u201d The police team swung into action, and through reliable sources, the accused\u2019s location was tracked in Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSensing the gravity of the offence, Shailender Singh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi constituted a special team headed by an officer of Sub Inspector rank and sent the team to Punjab to arrest the accused immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter liaising with local police there, both the accused Muhammad Sharief and his son Muhammad Tariq were arrested from Ludhiana-Punjab when they were about to flee from there too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cAccused Muhammad Sharif is a habitual offender and notorious criminal of Babrota of Tehsil Rajgarh District Ramban. He is also involved in a case under FIR number 148\/2011 under section 420 RPC of Police Station Kishtwar for cheating and looting hard-earned money of the common people and was still absconding in the said case FIR.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A father-son duo from Punjab has been arrested for allegedly duping a person on the pretext of construction of a residential house in Reasi district, police said.
