Former minister and Jammu Kashmir Apni Party president, Altaf Bukhari today said that his party will always stand for the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While taking to the media persons after addressing a workers meeting , Bukhari took strong exception to the remarks made by Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha about the bi-annual \u2018Darbar move\u2019 of shifting capitals from Srinagar to Jammu and vice-versa.<\/p>\n

He said Darbar move is not only an official process but also a connection of culture and emotions between the Jammu and the Kashmir regions and it can\u2019t be ceased arbitrarily. He said that development, dignity and peace will be election manifesto of Apni Party.
\nHe said that both Jammu and Kashmir are equal in every respect and Apni Party will also fight for the rights of the people of Jammu.
\nHe assured the people of J&K that his party will always fight for the restoration of statehood to J&K.<\/p>\n

Expressing disappointment over the statehood issue, he stressed upon the need for restoring a popular government in J&K as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Bukhari also said that the opening of Jio Marts in Jammu will create a burden for the business community of Jammu. \u201cJammu has been a trade hub from generations and any change in the business community will lead to drastic results.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said that the Apni Party is always for the welfare of the people of J&K and thus will always be committed to the goal of serving the people.
\nReferring to Jammu bandh call given by Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bukhari said it was the result of the policies of the Government.<\/p>\n

\u201cApni party\u2019s agenda has always been the restoration of statehood, development, dignity and peace in J&K,\u201d he added.
\nEarlier, Bukhari addressed workers meeting which was also attended by senior leaders of the party. He asked the party cadre to extend its reach up to the general masses.<\/p>\n

Prominent among those present included, Vijay Bakaya, Manjit Singh, Faqir Nath, Namrta Sharma, Pranav Shagotra and others.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
