The police claimed to have solved a theft case with the arrest of the main accused. The stolen property was also recovered. Official sources said that based on written complaint from Mohan Singh of Ramnagar that theft took place in his shop under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramnagar, a case FIR No. 104\/2020 U\/S 457\/380 IPC was registered at PS Ramnagar. A special police team headed by SDPO Ramnagar and SHO PS Ramnagar conducted raids in different suspected locations. During raids, some suspects were zeored in by police and during the sustained questioning of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed to the comission of the offence. He was finally arrested. He was identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Bhagat Ram, resident of Basantgarh. On his disclosure, the stolen property including Rs 50,000 cash, gold ear rings, mobile phone, LED etc, amounting to approximately Rs one lakh were recovered.
