{"id":21213,"date":"2021-06-03T08:24:47","date_gmt":"2021-06-03T02:54:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=21213"},"modified":"2021-06-03T08:24:47","modified_gmt":"2021-06-03T02:54:47","slug":"8-kupwara-residents-booked-under-uapa-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=21213","title":{"rendered":"8 Kupwara residents booked under UAPA: Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Kupwara, June 2: Eight persons were booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for raising anti-India slogans at the funeral of a youth killed in an accident in north Kashmir\u2019s Kupwara district on May 28, Police said Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An official said that a youth Muhammad Amin Dar, son of Abdul Ahad Dar of Bumhama died in a road accident on May 28 at his native village.<\/p>\n<p>He said that during his funeral anti-India slogans were raised following which Police registered a formal case against eight persons.<\/p>\n<p>He identified those named in the FIR as Aabid Hussain Mir son of Abdul Gani Mir, Qaiser Ahmad Mir son of Farooq Ahmad Mir, Bilal Ahmad Mir son of Farooq Ahmad Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Dar son of Khazir Muhammad Dar, Aijaz Ahmad Ganai son of Ghulam Rasool Ganai, Abass Ahmad Mir son of Khazir Muhammad Mir, Firdous Ahmad Bhat son of Lal Bhat and Fayaz Ahmad Dar son of Muhammad Maqbool, all residents of Bumhama Kupwara.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Police said four of them including Qaiser Ahmad Mir, Bilal Ahmad Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Dar and Aijaz Ahmad Ganai had already been arrested under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 which prescribes upto seven years imprisonment for advocating, abetting, advising or inciting the commission of any unlawful activity.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kupwara, June 2: Eight persons were booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for raising anti-India slogans at the funeral of a youth killed in an accident in north Kashmir\u2019s Kupwara district on May 28, Police said Wednesday.
