{"id":16831,"date":"2021-04-05T13:35:20","date_gmt":"2021-04-05T08:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=16831"},"modified":"2021-04-05T13:35:20","modified_gmt":"2021-04-05T08:05:20","slug":"met-predicts-wet-spell-in-jk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=16831","title":{"rendered":"MeT predicts wet spell in J&#038;K"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>SRINAGAR: The MeT Department here has issued a weather advisory predicting light to heavy rains or snowfall for the next three days across Jammu and Kashmir.<\/strong> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>A MeT official said that a fresh Western Disturbance is most likely to affect Jammu &amp; Kashmir from 4th April with light rain thundershowers on 4th &amp; 5th April and main activity-moderate rain, snow, thunderstorms and gusty winds with 30-40 KMPH-on 6th and 7th April. An advisory issued here in this regard said that the system is likely to cause heavy rain, snow mainly in the upper reaches of Kashmir-Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Baramulla, Bandipora, Gurez &amp; Tulail valley, and Kupwara (Karnah Sector), Shopian, Qazigund-Banihal axis, Pirpanjal Range of Jammu Division, Drass (Gumri &amp; Minamarg) and Zanskar sub division of Ladakh.<\/p>\n<p>The probable impacts, the advisory stated, include &#8220;temporary disruption of surface traffic mainly on Jammu-Srinagar and Srinagar-Leh Highway (Zojila Pass), Leh-Manali Highway, Mughal Road and Sadhna pass on April 6th and 7th.&#8221; The official said that there is also a possibility of landslides and shooting stones at vulnerable spots of Jammu- Srinagar Srinagar-Leh Highway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;There would be temporary water logging in low lying areas in Kashmir valley, while as the other impacts include suspension of agricultural and horticultural operations and dip in day temperatures,&#8221; it said.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SRINAGAR: The MeT Department here has issued a weather advisory predicting light to heavy rains or snowfall for the next three days across Jammu and Kashmir.
