{"id":12683,"date":"2021-02-04T09:48:52","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T04:18:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=12683"},"modified":"2021-02-04T09:48:52","modified_gmt":"2021-02-04T04:18:52","slug":"anti-corruption-bureau-registers-case-against-retd-engineer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailytaskeen.com\/?p=12683","title":{"rendered":"Anti Corruption Bureau registers case against Retd Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered cases against a retired engineer for accumulating assets in the shape of immovable and movable properties. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The ACB in a statement said that a case (FIR No. 01\/2021) has been registered in Police Station ACB Baramulla against Mohammad Shafi Dar, the then AEE R&amp;B Kupwara (now retired) under Section 5(1) (e) r\/w 5(2) J&amp;K PC Act. Svt. 2006. &#8220;The instant case was registered based on a verification to look into the allegations of raising assets disproportionate to known sources of income of Mohammad Shafi Dar, the then AEE R&amp;B Kupwara,&#8221; it said.<\/p>\n<p>The ACB said that the officer has accumulated huge assets in his name and in the name of other family members &#8220;which includes immovable properties worth crores in Srinagar, Sopore and Bandipora and movable properties in the shape of cars and other luxurious household items.&#8221; It said that the value of the assets found in possession of public servant and his family members and the expenditure incurred by him &#8220;is grossly disproportionate to his known sources of income which constitute offences punishable u\/s 5(1)(e) r\/w 5(2) J&amp;K PC Act Svt. 2006. During the investigation, search warrants were obtained from the Court.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong> The ACB said that searches in this regard were conducted at Bandipora and Srinagar. &#8220;The search teams found and seized incriminating documents relating to un-accounted wealth\/assets acquired by the accused by resorting to corrupt practices,&#8221; ACB said in the statement.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SRINAGAR: The Anti-Corruption Bureau has registered cases against a retired engineer for accumulating assets in the shape of immovable and movable properties.
