The US Supreme Court declined to hear a case brought by billionaire venture capitalist Vinod Khosla seeking to keep a beach locked behind a gate as his exclusive property. After purchasing a $32.5-million property in California’s San Francisco in 2008, Khosla cut off entry to Martins Beach, a popular surf spot. California mandates that all beaches be accessible to public.
